By becoming a member you support the work of the Sudan Archaeological Society Berlin (SAG) – the preservation of endangered antiquities in Sudan and the dissemination of knowledge about the ancient cultures of the Middle Nile Valley. Members receive the current volume of the journal „Der Antike Sudan. Mitteilungen der Sudanarchäologischen Gesellschaft zu Berlin e. V.“ (MittSAG) free of charge; under the partner tariff, one copy is sent per household.

The fees have remained unchanged since 2012. They are due by the end of the first quarter of each year and should be transferred to the society’s account. Membership may be terminated in writing with effect from the end of a calendar year; for details please see the statutes.
The SAG is a registered non-profit association under German law. Membership fees and donations are tax-deductible in Germany; donation receipts are issued on request. For donations of up to 300 €, the German tax authorities normally accept a bank statement as proof.
